- Here are four
delightful Songs from the San Remo Song Festival 1960,
sung by Holland's lively " Tenore Napolitano - Willy Alberti ". Willy, who
comes from Amsterdam and grew up in a Family
- ( eight
Brothers and Sisters ), has been creating a Musical
Sensation in Holland ever since he was twelve Years old,
when his ( even then ) considerable Musical Talents won
him a Part in a
- Musical Show
that was running in the Carre Theatre in the Dutch
Capital. It was some Time after that, of course, that he
developed his wonderful Capacity for deli vering Italian
Songs in a really
- warm hearted,
full - blooded Way, and he is now able to enchant People
all over the World with his delightful, sunripe Italian
bel Canto. Indeed, when he visited New York and
Philadelphia in
- December
1959, and performed in Theatres and Night - Clubs there,
he astonished even the Italian Members of his Audiences,
who could not believe that he was a Netherlander. This
was quite
- a feat for an
Amsterdam Boy who has had to earn his living from the
Tender Age of twelve, who spent much of his Boy hood
singing Songs in every Amsterdam Saloon he could sneak
into, and
- who is the
Son of a Singing Waiter. Yet in spite of his increasingly
melodious Voice, which makes many a young Girl´s Heart
skip a Beat, Willy is still a ragamuffin at Heart, though a
well - dressed
- ragamuffin
now, who has all Holland and others elsewhere - at his
Feet by the Way he sings his Italian Songs. It is only
natural, then, that the Songs of the San Remo Festival
should be very much
- in Willy's Province, and he
sings them from te bottom of his Heart. They are good
Songs, too, for San Remo has helped to make Italy the
Birthplace of some of the most notable -2 new Songs, with
- really ear -
catching Melodies. Its Hits have so far included such en
during Favourites as " Volare " - " Piove "- " La marcia in fa " and " Li per li " and the four
Songs on this Record are clearly in the
- same great
Tradition.

sehr gut erhaltene original holländische 7' EP - Philips
422 438 PE - Mono ( oben ) und eine amerikanische 7´
Single - London 45 - 1888 - Mono ( Erstausgaben ), von
einem der besten
- holländischen
Tenöre der 60er Jahre " Willy Alberti ", mit einem
absoluten Klassiker und Welterfolg von dem Italiener
" Rocco
Granata " und zwar " Marina ", welcher in
vielen Ländern als Schlager
- die
Hitparaden stürmte. Der Komponist und Texter sowie auch
Sänger seines eigenen Werkes " Rocco Granata " hat sich
mit diesem Song und den weltweiten Auflagen sicherlich
gesund ge -
- stoßen.
Dieses hinderte den holländischen Top - Tenor " Willy Alberti " in keinster
Weise diesen speziellen Song auch in einer Klassk -
Version aufzunehmen, und das Resultat kann man sich mit
- dieser 7' US
- Single auf einer guten Anlage zu Gemüte führen. Es
ist ein Hörgenuss der besonderen Art, diese Version in
sich aufzusaugen und mit seiner Psyche in Einklang zu
bringen, die
- Harmonien
dieses Tenor's sind schon einmalig, wie er diesen Song
verarbeitet hat. Aber auch die Rückseite " Cerasella ( Canzone Allegra ) " steht dem
als alt italienische Version kaum nach,
- sodaß man
mit dieser sehr selten 7' US - London Ausgabe sicherlich
eine Platte der besonderen Art hat. Die Platte zeigt für
das Alter ( 51 Jahre ) nur feine Oberflächenwischer ( M-
) und läuft
- einwandfrei
schön knisterfrei durch, sowie die Label sind sauber.
Das Firmenlochcover steht dem kaum nach ( M- ) sowie auch
die oben aufgeführte 7´ Philips EP mit gleicher
Einschätzung,
- sodaß sich
für einen " Willy Alberti " Anhänger sicherlich jeweils
ein sehr gutes Angebot ergibt.
